Student Ministry
New Life students are encouraged to deepen their relationship with God and equipped to step up as leaders in Christ. Through Sunday morning and mid-week worship experiences, students grow in friendships with each other and with Christ. Pulse is our high school aged ministry, and AMPED is our middle school aged ministry.
Sundays
In the Pulse Teen Ministry, students in Grades 9 to 12 experience a dynamic worship that is Christ centered and student focused on Sundays from 8:00AM to 10:00 AM and again from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM. The teens are able to openly ask questions about their faith, and find biblical answers for the tough challenges they face day to day. Passionate worship gatherings include practical teaching, student lead creative arts, and community with others as they connect in small groups with adults (our Lifeguards) for discussion and prayer. Students arriving early can take advantage of Facetime: a chance to connect with their friends and Lifeguards around basketball, Xbox 360 Kinect, cards and board games.
Wednesdays
From 7:00PM to 9:00 PM high school students connect on a more intimate level as they dig deeper into the Word. In addition to worship and bible study, Teens participate in numerous activities and programs such as Free Carwashes for Single Moms and Senior Saints, making gift boxes for homeless persons, raising money for World Vision, Random Acts Mall Mobs, the Teen Forward Conference, Teen Retreats and so much more.
Parent Teams
If you have a high school student attending PULSE then you are a part of our Parent Team. Your greatest impact on your student at this age is your ongoing love and support for them expressed through prayer and personal connection. These years play a vital role in transitioning to independence and adulthood. We invite all parents to come out and see what your teen is learning in PULSE on each 5th Sunday. We set aside time to connect with you, to hear your heart and give you resources to help you walk through this journey with your teen.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are numerous way to get involved in the PULSE Ministry. You can become a Lifeguard and lead a small group on Sunday and/or teach on Wednesdays after completing Basic Teacher Training. You can help with one of our ministry teams (dance, drama, greeters, Leaders for Christ, or Fuse Praise Team) or help with one or our programs (Parent Team, Evangelism and New Converts, Social Events, Educational Excellence, Teen Retreat, Teen Fest, TLC Service Projects or Resolve Night).
